August 1, 2008--Playing at home

When we were in Kennett during July, we bought Addison a 24 piece Sesame Street puzzle. After one or two tries, she could put it together perfectly all by herself! We then bought her more, since she enjoyed them so much. On the first day of August, which I spent at home with the girls, I captured Addison putting together the "school" puzzle, another Sesame Street favorite. I thought it was fitting that she was wearing her Elmo shirt at the time.

And then later, when she was supposed to be taking a nap, I walked into her bedroom to find this:

Up until this point, Addison had been known to go through her drawers of clothes and "rearrange" things or pull individual items out, but this was the first time she had emptied every single drawer plus the laundry basket into one big pile on the floor. I think I was trying to keep from laughing, but I made Addison sit in time-out on her bed while I refolded and put everything away with stern warnings to not do this again. (She has, of course, done it many times since then...)
