July 25-26, 2007--Our first niece

Brooklyn is our first niece. We are always happy to hold her (and then glad to be able to hand her off for diaper changes)!

July 24, 2007--Welcome Baby Brooklyn!

Brooklyn Cheyenne Harvey was born on July 24, 2007 at 4:30 pm, weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 in. long.
Addison wasn't too interested in her first cousin at the beginning, but now that she cries and makes noise, Addison always has to go investigate.
Addison likes to pat the baby very gently. Here she is in the hospital, reaching for Brooklyn (you can see Addison's little hand touching the baby).

July 23, 2007--Before the Big Day

Aunt Emily was scheduled to be induced on Tuesday, July 24, so we went over to see the nursery and get some last "before" pictures!

July 18, 2007--Playing piano

Addison always wants to play the piano while Aaron practices his music for church, so sometimes she gets to play by herself. It looks like she is well on her way to becoming a professional!

July 13-15, 2007--Visiting Great-Grandma

We drove down to Kennett, MO to visit Aaron's grandmother. Addison had a great time playing with Grandma Grantham!Playing telephone with Grandma.

July 10, 2007--First shoes

With Addison walking (of which I have no pictures, but I promise you she has been walking since taking her first steps on June 15), we needed to get this girl some shoes! We had some little Keds and basic trainers, but they were so heavy, she would just wave her foot around until they flew off. These Robeez are made of soft leather and elastic and are so light that she doesn't even notice them. Now she can walk around outside and in stores without Mama worrying!

The package is really yummy too.

July 4, 2007--Addie's First Fourth

For Addison's first Fourth of July, we went over to Uncle Kenny's house for some hamburgers, hot dogs and homemade ice cream. Aaron experimented and devised cake batter flavored ice cream, which was a huge hit!
Stirring in the cake batter goodness after the ice cream is mostly frozen.
Addie doing her part by playing with the serving spoons.

After GrandMary arrived to babysit the next few days, we all went down to the Arch grounds to watch the fireworks. Addison thought they were interesting and wasn't scared of the sound a bit, but she did get bored about the first ten minutes or so.

July 3, 2007--More bathtime fun

Addison still loves bathtime. She comes running whenever she hears the water. She can hardly wait to get in the water! She also enjoys kicking her legs and soaking Daddy with splashes while he tries to wash her!And she loves chewing on her foam letters!

July 2, 2007--Visiting friends

Lissa, Leigh Anne and Colin were in St. Louis visiting their day before the Fourth of July, and Addison and I got to go over and hang out for a night of fun! Addie LOVES playing with big kids!

June 29-30, 2007--Weekend in KC

While Aaron was in Memphis, Addie and Mama visited KC. While we were there, we had Addison's 9 month pictures taken. Here she is modeling one of her outfits from the photo shoot:

Uncle Daniel and Kristen fed Addison after dinner on Saturday night. She just gobbled it up!

June 26, 2007--Swimming

After several months of warm weather, we finally took Addison swimming in Aunt Phyllis's pool. She really liked it and seemed to enjoy just floating in the water!

Showing off the suit to Grandma.

Posing with Mama before the plunge.

Loving splashing herself in her floatie.

Swimming with Daddy.

Chilling out in her coverup afterwards (and playing with Mama's cell phone, one of the current favorite toys).

June 22-25, 2007--Niagara Falls

For our two-year anniversary, Aaron and I left Addison with her grandparents and went to Niagara Falls.

We had fun but we were ready to head home and see the baby!

June 17, 2007--Father's Day

For Father's Day, Addison gave Aaron a picture of herself and her footprint for his office!

Too bad she slept through it.

All of us with Aaron's dad.

June 15, 2007--BBQ party

We had some of Aaron's work friends over to our house for a barbeque. Addison enjoyed sitting in the washers box and playing with the washers! We had to remind her several times that those weren't the best things to be putting in her mouth!

June 3-7, 2007--VBS

During the first week of June, Aaron and Kate worked in our church's vbs program--Kate organized crafts with Emily and Aaron took pictures of the kids for the final night's slideshow. Aaron was able to get several pics of Addison with her church friends.

May 31, 2007--Visiting Uncle Kenny and Aunt Kathy

On a Thursday night, we visited Uncle Kenny and Aunt Kathy to take them some homemade ice cream. Addison played with their dog Little Loulou through the glass door.

In the morning

Each morning, Addison likes to stand on our bed and look out the window. This was taken before we turned on the a/c. Addison enjoys watching the birds and talking to Sasha outside!

May 19--Lewis and Clark celebration

On Saturday, we went to Old St. Charles for their Lewis and Clark celebration. Wandering the streets were many dressed in period costume and acting "in character". We ate our picnic lunch on the banks of the Missouri River then walked through Main Street.

Addison enjoyed the Maypole dance.

May 18--First visit to the park

On the weekend when we were supposed to go camping but didn't since Addison started teething (more on that later), we visited the park a few blocks from our house. Having been born in late September meant that we had to wait until spring before visiting the park for the first time. We put Addison in the baby swing and she really seemed to enjoy it!

May 12--Mother/Daughter Banquet

Addison and I got all dressed up for the Mother/Daughter Banquet at church in celebration of Mother's Day!

May 11--Walking outside

Even though she is now crawling and can get around herself, she still really likes to practice walking by holding our hands. Aaron took Addison for a walk in the front yard.
