January 2008--Visiting Great Grandma Grantham

Over Martin Luther King Day weekend, we drove to Kennett to visit Aaron's grandma. Addie had a great time!

November 2007

On Thanksgiving night, we took Addie to White Castle. I didn't want to post any pictures for fear of being reported to family services!

Addie really likes to get into Sasha's cage. Here is one time she managed to get all the way in without us realizing it:

October 2007--Halloween

Addie was a tiger for Halloween this year.

She really liked dipping for apples at our church's fall festival.

October 2007--Visiting the pumpkin patch

We visited Eckert's Farm in Belleville. Addie got to pick a pumpkin, play in the kids' area and pet some farm animals.
Addie really liked to hug the pumpkins.

October 2007--Homecoming

Over the past few months, Addie has become enchanted by the songs on High School Musical. She loves to watch the video on the computer.

We went to Columbia for the day to celebrate Homecoming '07.

Sept. 27, 2007--Addie's first birthday

Addie was blessed with several birthday celebrations marking her first year.

KC Party:

Awesome jungle cake by Kristen and Uncle Daniel:

St. Louis party:

Who knew the popper would be so popular, you wouldn't want to open the rest of your gifts?

Gooey butter birthday cake

Guess she didn't like it too much! (A reccuring theme throughout the birthday weekend was how Addie did not like the cake or frosting on her fingers--she wanted it off immediately!)

Outside party:
Cousin Samuel came over to help Addie with her cake.
Playing washers
The Williams family (Addie was tired of pictures by this point)

September 2007

With the colder months ahead, we tried to spend time outside in September. Addie really enjoyed the flowers in our front yard.

She would sit for ages, twirling flower stems between her fingers.

Addison hanging out in her crib while we vacuumed her room--she loves to chase the vacuum cleaner!
More playing outside:

Happy baby

So....long time no posts...

...but now I'm back!

Here's a wrapup of 2007, starting with August:
Our friends Jim and Emile got married the first weekend of August. Aaron was a groomsman. Daddy and daughter got to dance at the reception:

Also in August, Addie went to work with me and played in a castle built by other library kids, Elinor and Daisy. We tried to get her to go into it, but she wasn't interested.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it's really funny the first time your kid is so tired, they just fall asleep on the floor:
