November 11, 2008--First solid food

After Avery's six-month well baby visit, we got to g0-ahead from the doctor to start feeding Avery solid foods. We began with rice cereal. She didn't know quite what to make of it the first time.

After a few days, she did not let one morsel escape her mouth!

November 3, 2008-Coloring

Coloring has become a regular activity in our house. One day, I let Avery get close enough to grab some crayons for herself, just to see what she would do. She tried to color a bit...

...but ultimately, the crayon ended up in her mouth!

October 31, 2008--Halloween

After work, we got the girls dressed up and headed to our church for a Fall Treats Festival.

Avery went as a pumpkin this year.

Addie was a snow princess. (The one year we get a costume that is actually warm, it's a hot day! Thankfully Addie could wear her summer sandals with the outfit, so they kept her cool.)

Addison trick-or-treating at church.

We tried to get a picture of the three girls, but that didn't really work. Brooklyn was a ladybug.

The girls with Uncle Jerry and Aunt Sissy. I think Addison was pointing for more candy.

October 28, 2008--Playdoh

We got Addison some Playdoh for her birthday. She loves playing with it!

October 24-25, 2008--MU Homecoming

We went to Columbia again this year to celebrate Mizzou Homecoming. We went to House Decs, where Addison learned the cheer "MIZ--ZOU" (which she can now recite on command) and took our traditional tour of campus. We are hopefully embedding a love for Mizzou in our daughters so they will want to return there for school! It was a cold day on the Quad.

Watching the Homecoming Parade (again, terribly cold).

Even though we didn't get to see Aaron's cousins, Sara and Jason, we got to visit with their kids Samuel and Lauren along with Uncle Harold and Aunt Sara. Samuel was very sweet and shared some leftovers with Addison--these two could not stop laughing! I wish pictures had sound so you could have heard these two!
