October 19, 2008--Sitting like a big girl

Avery mastered sitting up early, and has developed a clear preference for seeing the world from that perspective. One day, while Addison was playing with her toy food at her table, I sat Avery there to see what she would do. She loved it!

October 13, 2008--Cooking with GrandMary

While my mom was in St. Louis visiting (and watching the girls), she let Addison help her make waffles. Addie really liked cooking, so I think I'm going to try to remember to let her help me with simple things while baking. I just got The Toddler Cookbook from the library which will give us some ideas.

October 11, 2008--Pumpkin patch

We returned to Eckert's in Belleville this year to choose pumpkins. And just like last year, the sun was blazing!

October 5, 2008--Baby Dedication

In October, we had Baby Dedication at our church. Since the last dedication had been in March 2007 when Addison was dedicated, Brooklyn was dedicated along with Avery.

Avery was asleep through most of it, but woke up for the end with a very surprised look on her face--something akin to "Where the heck am I and who are all these people staring at me?"

September 27, 2008--Addison's 2nd Birthday

On the last Saturday in September, we celebrated Addison's birthday. It was a jam-packed day, starting with the Ritenour Homecoming Parade, then our friend Meredith's first birthday party, before heading home for Addison's party.

Addison requested a High School Musical cake, but I couldn't find one, so she had to settle this year for Elmo and Sesame Street.

Addison loved eating her cake!
