April 30, 2008--Playing with blankets

Many have been witness to Addison's obsessive playing with blankets--spreading them out on the floor, making sure they have no wrinkles or turned edges. Here she is, tucking Elmo into bed.

(Oh yeah, and she dug through all the laundry to find those precious washclothes she desperately needed.)

April 29, 2008--Sweet smile

Looking outside at the blooming apple tree, watching Daddy mow the grass, hanging out with Gracie in the windowsill. It just can't get better than this.

April 22, 2008--Eating with a spoon

Back in April, I took these pictures when Addison was just getting good at using a spoon. Since then, she has graduated to grown-up salad forks, but generally still uses the child spoons (since they fit in her mouth better). At the time, we were so excited that messy mealtimes would be coming to an end. Of course, six months later, we are gearing up for them again, as Avery will start eating solid food soon!

April 19, 2008--Helping plant spring flowers

Each year, we buy annuals for our front yard. This year, Addison got to help plant them.

She really enjoyed filling the pots with soil.

April 1, 2008--Cards (rescheduled) Home Opener

Since the March 31 Home Opener game was rained out, we got to attend the makeup game the following day. It was cold but fun. Knowing we wouldn't last the whole game (since it went way past someone's bedtime), we were prepared to leave at anytime, but we made it through half the innings! Addison got to learn new words like "Charge!" and "ballgame".
