April 1, 2008--Cards (rescheduled) Home Opener

Since the March 31 Home Opener game was rained out, we got to attend the makeup game the following day. It was cold but fun. Knowing we wouldn't last the whole game (since it went way past someone's bedtime), we were prepared to leave at anytime, but we made it through half the innings! Addison got to learn new words like "Charge!" and "ballgame".

March 27, 2008--Addie's 18 month birthday

Although we didn't do much to celebrate Addison's 18 month birthday, she let us know she was ready to party by making a mess when we were out of the room for a few minutes.

March 23, 2008--Easter

Because the rainy weather was going to prevent us from having the regular McNew family Easter Egg Hunt (for all ages), we hid some eggs around our living room for Addie to find on Easter morning. When I said hid, I mean put them in plain sight. After the first few eggs, Addison got the hang of it!

At Easter lunch, we got to hold new cousin Lauren, who was born at the end of January. Kate didn't even need to use her hands--Lauren fit perfectly on top of the baby bump!

March 12, 2008--Playing at the Park

After all the March snow had finally melted, Addison got to play at the park. (This is the "good" park which we have to drive by two other, smaller parks to get to.)
She really likes the slides!

March 7, 2008--Art in Bloom

We visited the St. Louis Art Museum's Art in Bloom exhibit with friends Dan and Lissa.

Addie enjoyed the water fountain in the center of the museum.

March 1, 2008--First Walk of the Year

With the nice weather, we were able to take Addison for a walk around the neighborhood. After a winter of having to wear a warm hat everyday, she has been trained to wear a hat whenever we leave the house. This is promising for this summer! (Last year she refused to ever have anything on her head.)
